Boler-Davis Named Head of GM Manufacturing, Labor Relations
General Motors Co. has named Alicia Boler-Davis to succeed Jim DeLuca as executive vice president of global manufacturing.

General Motors Co. has named Alicia Boler-Davis to succeed Jim DeLuca as executive vice president of global manufacturing. Her new assignment, which includes labor relations, begins immediately.
Boler-Davis, who will report directly to Chair and CEO Mary Barra, holds engineering degrees from Northwestern University and Rensselaer Polytechnic and an MBA from Indiana University.
She most recently has been senior vice president of GM’s Global Connected Customer Experience, the unit that oversees GM’s OnStar telematics service and the company’s expanding connected-car development work. Among her previous assignments are head of global quality, plant manager at assembly and stamping plants in Michigan and vehicle chief engineer for small cars.
DeLuca, who began his manufacturing career at GM in 1979, led global manufacturing for the past two years. He is a past vice president of manufacturing for GM International Operations and vice president of quality for GM Asia Pacific and GM Daewoo.
