PSA Peugeot Citroen confirms it is terminating its partnership with BMW AG to develop hybrid technology and vehicles.

Both companies began talking publicly about dissolving their collaboration after PSA formed its equity alliance with General Motors Co. in February. BMW said in July it would continue hybrid vehicle research independently.

PSA has not said when the BMW partnership will end. But Guillaume Faury, who heads R&D for Peugeot, tells a French news agency that the two companies will not produce vehicles jointly as originally intended.
