Nissan Motor Co. and BMW AG are working together to launch a network of fast-charging stations across the U.S. To date, they have installed 120 chargers in 19 states.

The 50-kW chargers, which integrate CHAdeMO and SAE Combo charging systems, can replenish 80% of a vehicle’s battery capacity in less than 30 minutes. Drivers of Nissan’s Leaf and BMW’s i3 EVs can locate nearby stations via in-car navigation tools or smartphone applications.
