The U.S. Dept. of Justice has indicted former United Auto Workers union aide Nancy Johnson on five counts of criminal violations related to the misuse of $4.5 million in funds intended for a UAW-Fiat Chrysler Automobiles employee training center.

Johnson, 57, which the union says it “removed” two years ago, is the sixth UAW or FCA employee charged in the corruption scandal. The investigation has produced four guilty pleas to date.

Johnson is a former top assistant to ex-UAW Vice President Norwood Jewell, who retired at the end of last year. Jewell has been implicated in the scandal but not charged with wrongdoing.

The indictment claims Johnson spent tens of thousands of dollars intended for the center on travel, luggage and gifts for herself and others. She faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
