PSA Group says its unit sales in January-March rose 4% to 729,400 vehicles, and revenue grew 5% to €13.6 billion ($14.9 billion).
First-quarter revenue expanded 3% to €9 billion ($9.8 billion) for the company’s automotive division and 9% to €5.1 billion ($5.6 billion) for its Faurecia parts supplier affiliate.
Unit sales by region were flat at 465,000 units in Europe but tripled to 132,800 vehicles in the Middle East and Africa. Volume fell in China and southeast Asia (-46% to 83,000 units) and Latin America (-2% to 40,900).
PSA, which will report full first-quarter results next month, predicts its group revenue will rise 10% by 2018 compared with 2015.
