The state of Washington has relaunched tax incentives for buyers of new and used electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, Automotive News reports.

The new plan, which will take effect on Aug. 1, replaces a similar initiative that expired last June. The measure will offer tax rebates worth as much as $2,500 on new EVs that sell for less than $45,000, and as much as $1,600 on the purchase of used EVs priced below $30,000.

Washington state hopes to put 50,000 “green” vehicles on its roads by 2020.
