Volvo Car Corp. and owner Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. plan to export Chinese-made vehicles to the U.S. and Russia as soon as the end of 2015, according to Automotive News China, which cites an unidentified Volvo executive.

The online newspaper says the partners will ship the Volvo XC90 crossover vehicle to Russia and the S60L a long-wheelbase version of the Volvo S60 small sport sedan to the U.S. It adds that exports could be expanded to include southeast Asia.

ANC's source indicates Volvo will target annual volume of 10,000 cars and a few thousand crossovers. Volvo confirms plans to export vehicles from China but says the timing and markets have not been finalized.

Geely and Volvo will supply export markets from factories in Chengdu, which began making the S60L at the end of last year, and Daqing, which is beginning output of XC90s now, according to the report.
