Volvo Car Corp., which last year said it would begin electrifying all new models in 2019, will beat that goal by adding two plug-in hybrids this spring.

The company will offer a T6 system that makes 340 hp and a T8 version that delivers 390 hp in its next-generation V60 midsize wagon. Both hybrid variants are paired with all-wheel-drive system. The V60 in Europe also will be available with a choice of two gasoline and two diesel engines with outputs that range between 147 hp and 306 hp.

Volvo unveiled the new V60 to journalists in Stockholm earlier today. The car will be presented to the public next month at the Geneva auto show. The car features Volvo’s Pilot Assist system that provides semi-autonomous steering, acceleration and braking aid.

Volvo predicts the T6 and T6 options will garner as much as 25% of overall V60 sales, up from a 15% average for current hybrids versions of its models.
