Alain Visser who quit General Motors Co. this spring just as he was about to become the Chevrolet brand's global marketing chief will join Volvo Car Corp. on Sept. 3 in a newly created post overseeing global sales operations.
Visser began his automotive career at Ford Motor Co. in his native Belgium in 1987. He joined GM in 2004 and became head of sales and marketing at its Opel unit before leaving the company.
