Cockpit electronics supplier Visteon Corp. says it will move its stock listing from the New York Stock Exchange to NASDAQ on Dec. 27.
The suburban Detroit-based company’s shares will continue to trade under the “VC” ticker symbol. Visteon has been listed on the NYSE since the restructured company went public in 2000.
Visteon says the move reflects its desire to be aligned with other growth-oriented technology companies as it refocuses from parts-making to software-focused technologies. CEO Sachin Lawande adds that affiliating with NASDAQ provides advantages in cost, marketing and investor relations management.
