U.S. and Mexican negotiators say they are making good progress in talks to update the 24-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement and will continue discussions next week.

“There’s been so much progress made,” Kevin Hassett, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, declares to Fox Business Network.

The two countries aim for an agreement by the end of August. At that point, Canada is expected to rejoin the NAFTA talks, which began 12 months ago. Canada hasn’t been included in the talks over the past four weeks after relations between Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and President Donald Trump turned frosty in June.
