U.S. Gasoline Prices Drop to $1.88
The average price of a gallon of regular-grade gasoline in the U.S. fell to $1.88 today, down from $1.96 a week ago and $2.06 a year ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

The average price of a gallon of regular-grade gasoline in the U.S. fell to $1.88 today, down from $1.96 a week ago and $2.06 a year ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
Prices range from a high of $2.75 in California to a low of $1.59 in Oklahoma. U.S. fuel price averages are their lowest since February 2009, according to the group. It notes that gasoline prices typically dip in early winter.
Averages for premium grade gasoline and diesel fuel dropped to $2.40 and $2.14, respectively. AAA says premium fuel was at $2.47 per gallon a year ago, and diesel cost $2.91.
