U.S. Fuel Prices Drop 9 Cents Per Gallon
The average price of a gallon of regular-grade gasoline in the U.S. begins the week at $2.08 per gallon, down from $2.17 a week ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

The average price of a gallon of regular-grade gasoline in the U.S. begins the week at $2.08 per gallon, down from $2.17 a week ago, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
The report notes the national average for gasoline was at $2.83 a year ago. State-by-state averages today range from $1.84 in Illinois to $2.84 in Hawaii.
Diesel fuel currently averages $2.44 per gallon in the U.S., 3 cents cheaper than a week ago and 77 cents lower than a year ago, according to AAA.
