TRW's Net Earnings Soar 80%

First-quarter net earnings for TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. jumped to $377 million in 2015 from $209 million in the same period last year. Operating income zoomed 75% to $534 million.
The safety systems supplier reports its January-March sales fell 7% to $4.1 billion in absolute terms but grew 7% when the effects of exchange rates and divested businesses are excluded.
TRW predicts divested businesses will lower its full-year sales in 2015 to a range of $16.2 million-$16.5 million from last year's record $17.5 billion.
