Toyota Motor Corp. is launching a pair of recalls in the U.S. to remedy damaged circuit boards or defective electric propulsion systems in 112,500 of its standard, hybrid and electric vehicles.

The larger campaign involves 110,000 of the company's 2014-2015 model RAV4 crossovers and 2015 model Camry and Camry Hybrid sedans and Highlander and Highlander Hybrid SUVs. Those vehicles may contain a damaged circuit board that could cause the power steering assist to fail.

The second recall covers 2,500 of Toyota's 2012-2014 model RAV4 electric crossovers with defective propulsion motor assemblies. The flaw could cause the vehicle to shift unexpectedly into Neutral, thus cutting off all drive power.
