Toyota Motor Co. has completed a new $90 million training facility in in Tajimi, Japan, to improve the skills of dealership mechanics and other after-sales service personnel worldwide.

Toyota Motor Co. has completed a new $90 million training facility in in Tajimi, Japan, to improve the skills of dealership mechanics and other after-sales service personnel worldwide.
The center will be able to instruct about 2,200 workers per year.
Toyota says it aims to boost customer satisfaction by polishing the technical and communications expertise of after-sales staffers. The company also needs to quickly increase the number of skilled mechanics at its outlets in emerging markets. The Tajimi center will eventually conduct research in repair and maintenance technology, according to Toyota.
