Toyota Motor Co. now expects to sell about 2 million cars and light trucks in America this year, up 100,000 units from its previous forecast, Bloomberg News reports.

The predicted volume for the Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands would be the highest in four years. It represents a 22% increase from 2011, which was marred by natural disasters in Asia.

Bob Carter, CEO of Toyota's American sales unit, tells the news service that demand is especially strong for the Camry midsize sedan, whose sales could reach 400,000 units this year.
