Toyota Motor Corp. tells reporters an expanded lineup of hybrid-powered cars will help it increase sales in Europe 2% to 865,000 units in 2014.
But Didier Leroy, who heads Toyota Europe, says the company hopes to hike its sales in the 56-country region almost 16% to 1 million units in 2015.
Hybrids accounted for 20% of Toyota sales across Europe last year compared with 12% in 2012, according to Leroy. Toyota currently controls a 4.8% share of the European market.
