The V1 was engineered by the 15-month-old company but is being produced by China’s Geely Automotive in China. As an import, the 1 million-baht ($28,300) car will be saddled with an 80% import duty, 10% excise tax, 10% interior tax and 7% value-added tax.

The four-seat mini-hatch is come equipped with a 15/30 kW induction motor and a 22-kWh battery that can propel the car to a top speed of 105 kph (65 mph) and a distance of about 180 km (112 miles) per charge. Vera says the V1 can be charged in six hours via a 220-volt connection.
