Tesla Motors Inc. has introduced a program aimed at small and medium businesses that want to lease its Model S electric sedans.
The plan is being offered through the California-based company's new Tesla Finance subsidiary, which will arrange deals through participating banks. The program provides the same resale price guarantee Tesla introduced a year ago for retail buyers.
The leasing service enables customers to configure their car online, determine the monthly payment and fill out a lease application electronically. They sign the deal upon delivery using the car's touchscreen.
