Tesla Motors Inc. reports it delivered 17,200 of its $70,000 Model S electric cars and 200 of its new $132,000 Model X electric crossovers in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Tesla, which targeted at least 50,000 sales last year, says its full-year volume reached 50,600 units. The California carmaker does not report sales by country or region, but the U.S. is by far its largest market.

The company aims to launch its third model, the $35,000 Model 3, in 2017. That car, considered critical in Tesla’s bid to become a high-volume seller, reportedly will be joined by a crossover variant in about 2018.
