Tesla Motors Inc. is launching its largest recall ever to make sure the front seatbelts in its electric Model S sedans are properly anchored to the floor.
The campaign was prompted by a single case in Europe, in which a fastened belt came loose. Tesla says it hasn’t found any other cars yet with the same problem but decided to recall all models anyway.
The company estimates it will take dealers less than 15 minutes to inspect and, if necessary, replace any loose seatbelt anchor bolts.
