Rusty Fuel Tank Brackets Prompt Ford Recall

Ford Motor Co. is calling back 128,800 of its 2009-2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX midsize crossover vehicles to repair or replace fuel tank mounting brackets that could corrode and cause a fuel leak.

Ford Motor Co. is calling back 128,800 of its 2009-2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX midsize crossover vehicles to repair or replace fuel tank mounting brackets that could corrode and cause a fuel leak.

The recall covers vehicles in America’s 21 snowbelt states, the District of Columbia and six provinces in Canada. Ford reports no accidents, injuries or fires associated with the problem.
