Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV’s new Ram new midsize pickup will use a traditional body-on-frame truck platform, supplier sources tell Automotive News.

Some previous reports speculated that the new model, which is due in 2020, might ride on a Fiat unibody architecture. FCA takes that approach with the Ram 750 sold in Latin America, AN notes.

The midsize pickup will be built alongside a Jeep Wrangler-based pickup at FCA’s Toledo, Ohio, assembly complex. The carmaker, which shut part of the plant in April to prepare it for the new models, is expected to recall laid-off workers next month.

FCA announced the new Ram model in June as part of its latest 5-year strategic plan but provided no details. The carmaker, which ended production of the Dodge Dakota midsize pickup in 2011, has declined to comment.
