Renault SA CEO Carlos Ghosn says the company is seeking government approval to build its Fluence Z.E. electric sedans in China.
He says the car would be produced for an undisclosed Chinese brand. Ghosn told The Wall Street Journal more than a year ago that Renault was considering EV production in Wuhan with partner Dongfeng Motor Group Co.
Reuters cites JATO Dynamics data indicating that Renault sold fewer than 60 Fluence EVs in Europe in the first half of 2014.
