Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America Inc. (MEAA) is adding real-time weather updating capability to its FlexConnect infotainment technology.

The in-vehicle system integrates AccuWeather Inc.’s new “MinuteCast Along A Route” application to provide drivers with weather information updated every minute along routes for destinations entered into the navigation system.

Northville, Mich.-based MEAA is part of Japan’s Mitsubishi Electric Corp. The company launched its FlexConnect platform last year.
