American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. reports its sales climbed 13% to $969 million in the first quarter of 2014. Operating income grew 30% to $84 million, and net income zoomed 58% to $53 million.
The Detroit-based axle maker says the per-vehicle value of its sales in January-March advanced 1% to $1,676. The company predicts full-year sales of more than $4 billion compared with $3.7 billion in 2014.
