Toyota Motor Corp.'s line of Prius hybrid vehicles was California's most popular nameplate last year, according to Polk, the global auto data provider.

Toyota sold 61,900 Prius-badged hybrid vehicles in California in 2012, accounting for 26% of all Prius models sold in the U.S. last year.

The Prius lineup now consists of the original hatchback, a plug-in variant, the Prius c small hatchback and the Prius v wagon. Prices range from $19,100 to $39,700.
