Automotive electronics supplier Preh Group has expanded its production floorspace in Monterrey, Mexico, by 24% to 20,800 sq m (223,900 sq ft).
The €2 million ($2.4 million) project expands the company's Kalso factory, which assembles and tests surface-mounted devices used in such systems as climate controls. The facility and Preh's nearby Avante factory, which makes injection-molded plastic components, supply BMW, Ford, General Motors and Volkswagen operations in North America.
Preh joined the North American market nine years ago. The company, which was acquired by China's Joyson Group in 2011, specializes in e-mobility, human-machine interfaces and automation products.
