Honda Motor Co. is recalling about 350,000 of its 2016 model Civic sedans and coupes in the U.S. to fix a flaw that could prevent the electric parking brake from being set.
Honda says a software glitch may prevent the parking brake from being applied immediately after the ignition is turned off. If so, the car could roll away if the transmission was not shifted into Park.
Honda reports no crashes or injuries. When Honda begins the recall next month, dealers will update the parking brake control unit’s software.
