Tina Mueller, who has been head of marketing at Adam Opel AG for four years, will take over as CEO of European beauty care retailer Douglas GmbH.
Mueller, 49, will join the German cosmetics and perfume company on Nov. 1. She will succeed Isabelle Parize, who is stepping down after six years to pursue new business opportunities, according to Douglas.
Before joining Opel, Mueller served stints in the cosmetics industry with Henkel, L’oreal and Wella. In her new job, she will lead Douglas’ effort to strengthen its brand and digitize its sales and marketing channels, according to the company. Douglas offers more than 35,000 products through 1,900 stores in 19 European countries and generates €2.7 billion ($3.2 billion) in annual sales.
Mueller is the second senior executive at Opel to leave the German carmaker after PSA agreed in March to acquire it from General Motors Co. for €2.2 billion. Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann resigned last June.
