The carmaker plans to release a series of teaser images of the all-new hatchback, which was last redesigned in 2010, over the next three months. The first shows a new angular headlight design.
The 2018 Leaf will share a platform with the Renault Zoe EV. Styling cues are expected to be borrowed from Nissan’s Micra supermini car.
Nissan previously has said the next-generation Leaf will be fitted with an upgraded battery pack that will increase its driving range to as much as 400 km (249) miles from the current 280 km (174 miles) on the Japanese cycle.
