PSA Group’s Citroen unit says the next-generation of its C4 Cactus mini crossover vehicle will include an all-electric variant.
Due in 2020, the all-new C4 Cactus will be the brand’s second EV. Citroen currently sells the C-Zero electric city car.
The Cactus will ride on PSA’s new Compact Modular Platform, which also will carry the Peugeot 208 and Vauxhall Corsa. The architecture is designed to accommodate electrified and traditionally powered vehicles.
PSA plans to introduce 15 plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles by 2021 and offer electrified variants of all its vehicles by 2025.
