Mitsubishi Motors Corp. will take the wraps off an all-electric concept SUV/crossover model at the Geneva auto show in March.
The carmaker released a teaser image of the Engelberg Tourer, which is named after a rugged alpine ski town in Switzerland, this week. MMC says the concept will feature next-generation technology, aggressive styling, SUV practicality and enhanced EV performance.
The darkened teaser shows a wide stance and a bold front-end with Mitsubishi’s familiar split-level headlamps outlined by blue light strips. The vehicle also sports safari-style roof lights.
Media reports suggest a production version of the concept could bow early next decade as a successor—or addition—to the current Outlander PHEV. The plug-in hybrid version of the Outlander crossover was launched in 2013.
