Michelin Recalls Truck Tires that Could Blow Out
Michelin & Cie. is recalling about 104,000 of its BFGoodrich replacement truck tires because their sidewalls could rupture when subjected to extreme loads and torque.

Michelin & Cie. is recalling about 104,000 of its BFGoodrich replacement truck tires because their sidewalls could rupture when subjected to extreme loads and torque.
Michelin blames "certain combinations of design attributes, material specifications and industrial process parameters" for the problem. The company reports 11 cases of the tires blowing out but says there have been no injuries or fatalities.
The recall covers several sizes of BFGoodrich Commercial T/A All-Season and Rugged Terrain T/A tires made in 2014-2015. The tires have been used in the U.S. on commercial trucks, heavy-duty vans, small recreational vehicles and some light-duty pickup trucks.
