Jaguar Land Rover Ltd. will start its I-Pace electric crossover vehicle at $70,500, which will undercut the entry-level version of Tesla Inc.’s Model X 75D EV by $9,000.

The new I-Pace due this summer also beats the Model X from zero to 60 mph by about half a second, at 4.5 seconds. In addition, the Jaguar boasts a slightly longer driving range of 240 miles compared with the Model X’s 237-mile performance.

Higher output variants of the Model X add at least $25,000 to the crossover’s sticker price.
