Indiana is suing two dozen suppliers of automotive wiring harnesses for rigging bids to inflate the price of their products, The Detroit News reports.
Most of the firms have already pleaded guilty or agreed to do so in a continuing U.S. Dept. of Justice wide-ranging investigation into price fixing among auto suppliers.
Among the defendants in Indiana's lawsuit are Delphi, Denso, Fujikura, Furukawa Electric, G.S. Electech, Lear, Leoni, Sumitomo Electric, Tokai Rika and Yazaki. The News says five local governments, including two in Michigan, sued the same companies last year.
Indiana's complaint is the latest to be filed by state, county and city governments that allege their citizens were overcharged for auto parts as a result of pricing conspiracies.
