Hyundai Motor Co. and Vietnam’s Thanh Cong Group have agreed to set up a joint sales venture that target’s Vietnam’s booming car market, the Korea Herald reports.
Thang Cong has been selling Hyundai vehicles in Vietnam since 2009. The new venture aims to create a sales network with capacity to sell 100,000 vehicles annually, according to the Herald.
Last year Hyundai’s sales in Vietnam surged 27% to a record of more than 50,000 units, capturing a 19% share of the market.
