Ford Motor Co. plans to add hybrid-electric variants of the Ford Expedition (pictured) and Lincoln Navigator full-size SUVs in coming years, the Detroit Free Press reports.
The electrified trucks will be built alongside their conventionally powered counterparts at Ford’s Kentucky Truck plant, according to the newspaper, which cites details related to the carmaker’s recent agreement with the United Auto Workers union. Ford also is said to be considering several other versions of the big trucks, including plug-in hybrids.
