Honda Motors Co. will add the Accord to its lineup of hybrid vehicles sold in Thailand, The Nikkei reports.

Honda says it has already begun assembling the hybrid Accords at its factory in Ayutthaya, using powertrain components imported from Japan. Honda hopes to sell 6,000 of the cars, which will retail for about 1.7 million baht ($51,200), over the next 12 months.

Last year hybrid vehicle sales in Thailand totaled about 11,500 units, according to The Nikkei. Honda predicts the demand will expand 30% to 15,000 units this year.
