Grammer JV Opens Interiors Tech Center in India
Germany's Grammer AG and Indian engineering service Ally Grow Technologies have opened a technical center in Pune.

Allygram Systems and Technologies, a joint venture formed earlier this year between Germany-based interiors specialist Grammer AG and India engineering services startup AllyGrow Technologies Ltd., has opened a technical center in Pune.
AllyGrow owns 70% of the venture, with Grammar holding the remaining 30%. The Pune facility is expected to hire 120 engineers over the next three years to help develop seating systems and other components for Grammer’s carmaker and commercial vehicle customers.
In August, China’s Ningbo Jifeng Auto Parts Co. increased its stake in Grammer to 84% The Chinese supplier had acquired a 24% stake in Grammer in 2017. With global annual sales of about €2 billion ($2.3 billion), Grammer has 10 global research and development facilities.
AllyGrow, which was formed in 2015, provides engineering support for the automotive, aerospace and heavy-equipment industries. The company has made several automotive acquisitions, including Munich-based AE Automotive Elements and Ranal, a Michigan-based manufacturing engineering service company.
