General Motors Co says it will make profit sharing payments of as much as $11,000 to each to its 49,600 hourly employees in the U.S.
GM’s payout to eligible United Auto Workers union members compares with 2015 payments of $9,300 at Ford and $4,000 at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
The profit sharing, which is part of the four-year labor agreements the UAW reached with the three carmakers last autumn, is based on earnings from North American operations before interest and taxes.
