General Motors Co. President Mark Reuss tells The Los Angeles Times that a hybrid version of the all-new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette is a "very attractive idea."
Reuss' comment came during a discussion with the newspaper about GM's plans for expanding diesel and hybrid powertrains in its cars and trucks.
The seventh-generation Corvette already boasts fuel-saving technology such as direct fuel injection and cylinder deactivation to achieve 17 mpg city and 29 mpg highway even as it produces 455 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque from its 6.2-liter V-8 engine.
