Hyundai Motor Co.’s Genesis brand will offer an electric sedan rather than a V-8 model as part of its upcoming product offensive, Drive reports.
“As much as I like to drive V-8s, I believe electrification is going to be a main element,” design boss Luc Donckerwolke tells the Australian enthusiast magazine.
The EV is expected to be based on 2015’s Vision G concept car (pictured). It will be one of the six models Genesis plans to have in its lineup by the end of 2020. Earlier this month Genesis unveiled the fuel cell-powered GV80 concept that previews the luxury brand’s first crossover vehicle.
