California-based Fisker Inc. says its upcoming electric crossover vehicle will feature turn signals on the side of the vehicle in addition to traditional front and rear signals.

A teaser image of the unnamed model shows the turn signal mounted high on the vehicle’s rear D-pillar. CEO Henrik Fisker says the design will enhance safety.
The profile image also highlights the EV’s rising beltline and illuminated pop-out door handles. Other styling cues include an expansive sunroof and flared wheel arches.
A previous sketch of the front of the vehicle featured a large air intake and distinctive headlights. Fisker plans to publicly unveil the $40,000 EV in December, but production isn’t due to start until 2021.
