Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV is planning two global callbacks to fix fuel leaks and an electronic problem in large trucks and SUVs made by its Chrysler unit.
The larger recall covers 381,900 diesel-powered Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks and 4500 and 5500 chassis cabs made during the 2010-2014 model years. Affected trucks are equipped with a fuel heater whose electrical connection could overheat and cause a fuel leak.
The second campaign will reprogram software that controls the electronic stability control system in 184,200 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs produced during the 2014 model year.
Chrysler says the update will cure a condition in which a circuit board shield could disable the ESC unit.
