The European Union has closed an investigation launched three years ago into possible price fixing among suppliers of vehicle exhaust systems.
Antitrust regulators launched the probe with a series of raids in March 2014 involving the European offices of multiple suppliers, including Eberspaecher, Faurecia and Tenneco.
Investigators sought to determine whether the companies had formed a cartel to manipulate prices on exhaust systems, catalytic converters, particulate filters and exhaust manifolds. The probe was part of a continuing global investigation into auto parts bid rigging.
But the EU says the case has been closed with no legal action taken.
