December Fuel Prices at Two-Year Low in U.S.

The average retail price of a gallon of regular grade gasoline in the U.S. has dropped to $2.37 this week, down from $2.42 a year ago to a two-year low for the month, says AAA.
Average prices are down 12 cents per gallon from a week ago. The car insurance giant says continued high levels of fuel production—about 10 million barrels per day—prices are likely to continue their decline through the end of the year.
Average per-gallon prices range from a low of $1.96 in Missouri to a high of $3.49 in Hawaii.
