Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV says eligible United Auto Workers union members will receive profit sharing checks for as much as $4,000 each, based on the company’s performance in 2015.

This year’s payment to Chrysler workers compares with $2,750 distributed last year.

The payments, a part of the four-year national labor contract negotiated last year with the UAW, are calculated on earnings before interest and taxes for North American operations. FCA says the 40,000 eligible workers will receive their payments on Feb. 19.
