General Motors Co. says its Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle is now available by order or in stock at dealerships across the U.S.
The carmaker has sold nearly 11,700 Bolts since the EV was introduced last December in California and Oregon. This makes it the best-selling EV in the U.S., besting the Nissan Leaf by about 2,000 units.
The Bolt, which starts at $37,500 before federal tax incentives, has an estimated U.S. Environmental Protection Agency driving range of 238 miles. The next-generation Leaf is expected to be priced at $30,000 and have a range of 150 miles when it bows next January in the U.S.
